Health Camp by Women Forum

NRNA Women forum conducted Free Health Checkup Camp and Hygiene awareness program at Thorkpa VDC ward no 2 in Sindhupalchowk on 9 th october to mark NRN Day 2018. It was 7th Uterine Prolapse Health Camp, 2nd ENT Health Camp and 1st Dental Camp. The team was led by Rajani Pradhan, where Indra Ban, Preeti Sharma, Indira Tripathi, Meera Poudel from Women Forum joined the group.

Dr. Barsha Moktan, Dentist and Youth Deputy Coordinator (Americas) sponsored the hygiene kit and lead the team of dental camp. Similarly, Dr. Jayandra Pradhananga, ENT Specialist from Bir Hospital lead the team of ENT and Dr. Supriya Pandey, Gynecologist from Medicity Hospital lead the team of Uterine Prolapse. We are very grateful to the above mentioned doctors and their team for their valuable role to make the health camp a success. We are thankful to Medicity Hospital.

More than 300 individuals were treated during the health camp. Among them, 9 women were referred for operation during their uterine test. Children were diagnosed of ear infection and treated; old aged individuals were diagnosed of hearing problem. Women, children and old aged people were benefited from the health camp.

Students of Bag Bairav School were given 500 hygiene kits after health and hygiene awareness class by Dr. Barsha. They were informed about importance of hygiene for healthy life. Students were very motivated from the awareness class and hygiene kit.
This health camp was coordinated by Bishnu Neupane, Headmaster of Bag Bhairav School for Sindhupalchowk vdc. Women Forum is thankful for his support for the success of the program.

Women Forum also thanks all the contributors who make this camp a success. This kind of camp will be organize on a regular basis benefitting more individuals.
