Mustang trek with Piyawee and Steve
For more than 600 years, the kingdom of Mustang on Nepal’s Tibetan border was off limits to the outside world. Over the past decade, it has slowly opened its doors. For the few travelers fortunate enough to have penetrated its pristine interior, Mustang is a revelation. Steve Van Beek and Piyawee Ruenjinda traveled by horseback with a group of explorers. He will reveal the beauty of this mystical kingdom at a Fans of Nepal dinner talk on June 25. He’ll also tell how to join him on a return trip this September.
Steve Van Beek went first to Nepal in 1967 as a Peace Corps volunteer. He’s been living in Thailand since 1969. More information on this writer, film producer, explorer on http://www.stevevanbeek.com/
